Many people think that Health Visitors are only available to families with small children when in fact anyone can contact the Health Visitor. Appointments are not always necessary, just phone and a Health Visitor will discuss your query with you and if necessary arrange to sec you. Health Visitors can offer support and advice in the health of babies and young children, family and emotional issues, continence problems, caring for elderly or dependant relatives, caring for children or adults who have special needs and helping you with lifestyle advice.
